Madhukar Kamath has been elected as the chairman of ABC
Madhukar Kamath, the chairman emeritus of advertising firm DDB Mudra Group, has been elected as the chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for 2019-20. The board has also selected Devendra V Darda as Managing Director and Lokmat Media as deputy chairman.

Madhukar Kamath has four decades of experience in advertising and marketing services, Kamath helped Omnicom acquire the Mudra Group and integrate it into DDB Worldwide Network. He served on the board of the industry body which certifies circulation figures of its member publications. Kamath has also led Bates India as its CEO and was instrumental in the acquisition and successful integration of Clarion Advertising. He has also served as chairman of brand consultancy Interbrand and has led several industry bodies.
Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC):
Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) founded in 1948 is a not-for-profit, voluntary organization. It consists of publishers, advertisers, and advertising agencies as members. ABC conducts pioneering work to develop audit procedures to certify the circulation figures of publications which are members of ABC.
