PM Modi met PM H.E. Ms. Jacinda Ardern
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Prime Minister of New Zealand H.E. Ms. Jacinda Ardern in New York on 25th September 2019. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UNGA meetings.
The leaders of the countries have reviewed the state of bilateral relations and discussed steps to intensify political, economic, defence, security and people to people relations.
Previous meetings:
In November 2017 in Manila, the PM of New Zealand visited India. In 2016, the former Prime Minister of New Zealand visited and new institutional mechanisms have been instituted. These relationships have substantially enhanced the bilateral relationship. PM Ardern has also accepted the invitation to participate in the event Relevance of Gandhi in the contemporary Times that was held on the sidelines of UNGA on 24 September 2019.
