New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art returns the gilded coffin stolen in 2011. The return of the coffin was announced by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. The repatriation was attended by the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Hassan Shoukry.

About the Coffin:
- The wooden coffin was covered in gold. It was made in Egypt between approximately 150 and 50 BC. On the coffin, Nedjemankh's name was inscribed. Nedjemankh was a high-ranking first century BC priest. This coffin was buried in Egypt for more than 2,000 years and it was looted in the year 2011.
- In 2017, the Metropolitan Museum of Art purchased the coffin for around $4 million. The coffin was kept for view until February 2019. The Manhattan District Attorney's office recovered the gilded Coffin of Nedjemankh.
