Minister of HRD launched several initiatives of AICTE

Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) launched several initiatives of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi. It was launched by the Minister of Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.


The initiatives include facilitation through Margadarshan and Margadarshak, Model Curriculum for diploma courses, Waste Management Accelerator for Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs (WAWE Summit 2019) and 360-degree feedback of faculty.

Aim:

The schemes are launched to improve the quality of education which will further contribute to creating New India.

About the initiatives:
  • Through the initiative facilitation through Margadarshan and Margadarshak, the topmost institutions will mentor other institutions. This aims to improve their rankings and follow the best practices of the mentor institute.
  • The 360-degree feedback of faculty scheme aims to increase the quality of education. The scheme encourages both students and teachers.
  • Model curriculum for diploma courses is an effort to create new courses to prepare students for better understanding in this competitive age. This aims to take technical education to the top in the world rankings.
Wawe Summit 2019:

The Waste Management Accelerators for Aspire Women Entrepreneurs (WAWE Summit 2019) aims to promote entrepreneurship in waste management and provide alternatives to single-use plastic carry bags. A large number of young women students participated in the summit. The theme of the summit is Make your own bag. It aims to empower women to take up income generation activity and entrepreneurship in waste management through making a business out of this record creating a concept.
